OUR MISSION
The Hockenberry Family’s main mission is to assist in starting the process of “grief healing”. We commit ourselves to accomplishing this by walking beside the family with loving care during each step of the funeral experience. We are dedicated in providing this care in comfort, and to attend to each and every detail required and requested by our families. We provide a personal service that is as unique as the person lost, and to treat each loved one entrusted to our care, with the utmost respect, gentleness, and devoted professionalism. In addition to assisting our families, we believe in contributing to the community by actively supporting area businesses, churches, charities and civic groups.
We also believe that grief has many ways of showing itself, or not showing itself. We have a certified grief specialist on staff for our "Stepping Stones" grief recovery program. It is a 12 week on-going course to help after a death, or any loss in life, such as divorce. It has been remarkably successful and very well attended. Please call us if you would like to attend. It is not necessary to have had a funeral through any of our locations to attend this program. In fact, it is not necessary to have had a death at all.
